From the early days of COME, we have been coordinating and supporting numerous projects of various types in which modern technologies have been applied. Below you will find a selection of the EU-funded projects, as well as other activities to which we contribute as a leader, partner or executor.



Akademia Analityka


The Analyst's Academy is a series of trainings for the analysts employed in government administration institutions. The aim of the project is to raise the level of human resources qualifications in effective law creation. It has been realised within the framework of the “Strengthening the potential of government administration” project, co-financed from the European Union funds within the European Social Fund.

Post-graduate studies "Business Law & Business Development of China"


“Business Law & Business Development of China” are extramural post-graduate studies run in two languages. They focus on basic topics like law, trade, investment, business and the cooperation in these fields of the European and Chinese partners. The problem of intercultural dialogue is of importance in the studies, yet it is based on the knowledge and experience of the issues connected with the Chinese law, the characteristics of Chinese investment, and the differences between legal and economic systems of the Old Continent countries and China. A lot of attention is also paid to the practical application of the knowledge of Chinese trade and business. A key place is taken by the basic Chinese language course which provides indispensable expressions used in negotiations and cooperation with the Chinese partners.

The National Olympiad on Film and Social Communication


The “National Olympiad on Film and Social Communication” is the initiative for senior high school learners. Its aim is to popularize the awareness of film and social communication in its practical perspective among young people. It focuses on themes relating to Polish film heritage with respect to the development of understanding the specific features of native audio-visual art in appropriate contexts.

The FOUNDATION YEAR FOR SOCIAL STUDIES, HUMANITIES OR SCIENCE AT THE UW


The "Foundation Year For Social Studies, Humanities or Science" project is dedicated to high school graduates from abroad, who would like to begin their studies at the University of Warsaw or other Polish university in the 2017/18 academic year. The future students from China are going to spend 9 month in Warsaw, developing communication skills in English (they will also have a chance to learn Polish), and taking part in seminars run by experts in chosen fields of interest and also getting to know the Polish cultural heritage.

The full-time free of charge post-graduate studies at the School of Education of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and the University of Warsaw are dedicated to the graduates of the Faculty of Mathematics and the Faculty of Polish Studies who wish to become future teachers of mathematics or the Polish language.

The Olympiad on Poland and the Contemporary World


The Olympiad on Poland and the Contemporary World is one of the most important subject Olympiads organized by the Ministry of National Education.

Its history began in 1959, when the "Dookoła świata" editorial team ran the National School Quiz Leagues Olympiad. Since 1991, it has been organized by the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, University of Warsaw. Until 2013 it has been supervised by the Institute of Political Science, and since then the supervision has been taken over by the Institute of European Studies.

The Warsaw School of Data Analysis


THE WARSAW SCHOOL OF DATA ANALYSIS The Warsaw School of Data Analysis is a transnational project implemented by the University of Warsaw and the Interuniversity Center for Social Science Theory and Methodology (the Netherlands). The main objective of the project is to raise the level of competence of PhD students and individuals outside the academic community in the field of data analysis by the development and implementation of an interdisciplinary, English-language training cycle, in cooperation with foreign partners and with the participation of employers, and by the involvement of distance education methods and techniques.

Doctorates for Mazovia: Scholarship and training program for the best PH.D. students at the University of Warsaw in the fields of vital importance to the regional economy development (second edition)


"Doctorates for Mazovia II" is a continuation of the project "Doctorates for Mazovia: Scholarship program for the best PH.D. students at the University of Warsaw in the fields of vital importance to the regional economy development" which was carried out by COME in 2010-11. Similarly, the project "Doctorates for Mazovia II" received funding from the Mazovian Unit of EU Programmes Implementation in the course of competition within the European Social Fund under 8.2.1 sub-measure "Support to cooperation of scientific environment and enterprises”, Human Capital Operational Programme.

Doctorates for Mazovia: The scholarship programme for the best PH.D. students at the University of Warsaw in the fields of vital importance for the regional economy development


The aim of the project was to increase the transfer of knowledge onto the market and to develop links between the University of Warsaw and entrepreneurs in Mazovia in the area of research and development. To meet this aim, the support was given to the best graduate students in the fields of mathematics and natural sciences as well as socio-economic studies at the University of Warsaw, whose work would contribute to the growth of the scientific potential in the areas relevant to the economic development of the region.

Language e-courses

The project “Language e-courses” was financed by the Foundation for the Development of the Education System. The main objective of the project was to enrich the didactic offer of the University of Warsaw (within the framework of the University System of Teaching Foreign Languages (USTFL)) by adding e-courses in English and German.

Training for the future members of the Project Evaluation Committee in the Human Capital Operational Programme

The project was commissioned by the Ministry of Regional Development. It covered 23 trainings on the European Social Fund in the e-learning method along with the maintenance and servicing of the courses on the e-learning platform. The project aimed at on-line training and certification of approximately 2200 future members of the Project Evaluation Committee in the Human Capital Operational Programme.

Training for the constructors of tasks to a written exam in vocational education

CKE (Central Examination Board) commissioned COME to carry out a project on organizing and conducting the training for 600 constructors of tasks for the written examination for all professions defined in the classification of vocational education. The training covered 120 hours and included both traditional and online classes in a ratio of 1:1.

Conducting research, preparing the methodology, programs and didactic materials for distance education

The project was commissioned to the University of Warsaw by the Ministry of National Education as a part of the ministerial project: "Development of methodology, programs and didactic materials for distance education (upper secondary level)" co-financed by the European Social Fund. The project was completed at the University of Warsaw by the Center for Open and Multimedia Education in collaboration with the staff and graduate students of the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, the Faculty of Psychology as well as the Institute of Social Studies and Promotion Office.

The University of Warsaw was asked to carry out the project by the Ministry of National Education. The aim of the project was to conduct the postgraduate studies on "Preparing staff for the life-long distance learning" for 1200 teachers from across the country and was carried out in collaboration - as subcontractors - with five universities.

The University of Warsaw was asked to carry out this project by the Ministry of National Education. The aim of the project was to conduct the postgraduate studies for 2250 teachers from Mazovia in 17 different school subjects and to educate the teachers in the second subject.

The project was prepared for the needs of Ministry of National Education. Its aim was to design didactic programs and digital materials, including multimedia, for the ICT studies, referring to both technical and non-technical aspects.

Postgraduate studies for teachers in ICT, foreign languages ​​and second subject (first edition)

The project was led in a consortium of five universities (University of Warsaw, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, University of Lodz, University of Zielona Góra, University of Gdańsk) and COMBIDATA company (with the University of Warsaw as the consortium leader ). The aim of the project was to conduct postgraduate studies for 3006 teachers (from 12 voivodships) in 21 different school subjects and to educate second subject teachers.
