The Olympiad on Poland and the Contemporary World

The Olympiad on Poland and the Contemporary World is one of the most important subject Olympiads organized by the Ministry of National Education.

Its history began in 1959, when the "Dookoła świata" editorial team ran the National School Quiz Leagues Olympiad. Since 1991, it has been organized by the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, University of Warsaw. Until 2013 it has been supervised by the Institute of Political Science, and since then the supervision has been taken over by the Institute of European Studies.

The most valuable reward for 30 laureates and finalists is obtaining a Student's Book which allows them to enter almost all Polish universities to study economic and social sciences as well as law and humanities.

COME UW has been the technological partner of the Olympiad on Poland and the Contemporary World since 2014. It is responsible for the preparation of the online Final Test and provides the e-learning educational platform on which the test is held.
