ON "DIFFERENT FACES OF AUDIOVISUAL EDUCATION"

It all started with the international conference...

... "Film and media education in Poland and the world – systemic solutions and case studies" organized at the University of Warsaw in May 2015. We hosted guests from many countries - the Czech Republic, Northern Ireland, Great Britain, and Ukraine. Thanks to new technologies, we were able to connect with participants from the United Arab Emirates and the USA - hence those who could not meet in person were given an opportunity to exchange their dreams and experiences.

Then there was conceived the idea of publishing a tome...

... combining speeches given during the conference and texts introducing the topic of audiovisual education. The editors have chosen papers which will help broaden our knowledge about cinema and modern-day media. That is why "Different faces of audiovisual education" is available online: so that everyone - as Susanne Wad joked – can "steal" from more experienced colleagues, and - as mentioned by Pavel Bednařik - learn from their mistakes as well as become "infected" with their energy and passion.

We hope that our publication will help you make the first step towards audiovisual education... :)

The publication was issued in open access on the licence Attribution - Noncommercial - No Derivative Works 4.0 International. The PDF and videos posted on YouTube constitute a whole.
