38 mln from POWER for UW to improve the quality of teaching and modernization of university management

Thanks to the support of the European Union, within the Knowledge Education Development Programme, UW will deeply focus on the improvement of quality of teaching, development of student and staff competences as well as the modernization of the university management.

"The Integrated Activities for UW Development Programme" will be running between 2018-2022, and will cover, among others:

  • the improvement of quality of teaching in I i II degree studies, taking into consideration social and economic needs through the creation of interdisciplinary study programmes, also those run in English, the organisation of summer schools, or extending the size of foreign teachers' teaching load;
  • the improvement of quality of teaching in doctoral studies through Ph.D. students mobility (thanks to the grants for travelling abroad);
  • the development of IT tools to improve UW management processes;
  • the introduction of the training system, developing executive and administrative staff.

COME UW participated in the preparation stage of the project, under the supervision of Professor Jolanta Choińska-Mika, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Teaching and Professor Anna Giza-Poleszczuk, Vice-Rector for Development, with the support of the Rector's Plenipotentiary for Quality of Teaching, the Office of University Advancement, DELab UW, and UW Incubator.
