National Olympiad on Film and Social Communication

National Olympiad on Film and Social Communication” organized by the Filmoteka Narodowa will be held on 21st of November 2017. COME UW is responsible for online tests preparation at the first and second stage of the Olympiad and it is also the provider of the educational e-learning platform.

This initiative is dedicated to senior high school learners. Its aim is to popularize the awareness of film and social communication in its practical perspective among young people. It focuses on various aspects of social communication, mainly on affecting the viewer’s perception via word and image. The participants will be mastering techniques and rules of conveying a visual and linguistic message as well as constructing clear narration during the Olympiad.

The Olympiad consists of three stages: the school preliminaries, the district competition and the central contest. While preparing for the contest, the learners will significantly broaden their knowledge of Polish and foreign cinematography. The leading theme of the second edition of the Olympiad is: "The cinema of values".

Apart from the glory and the title of Olimpian, the studnets books of prestigious universities such as University of Warsaw, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan or University of Lodz are waiting for the laureates. A special prize is prepared by the Warsaw Film School.
