"E-learning at UW" - a report from the meeting

On 13th December 2016 COME UW has opened a series of meetings on distance learning, dedicated to the UW staff. The first meeting focused on information exchange and aimed at the presentation of COME's offer and the opportunities to cooperate with our unit. Several dozens of participants from various faculties and departments turned up at the meeting.

For 18 years now, we have been supporting UW academic education and popularizing the application of new technologies in teaching and learning. We offer to make use of the UW e-learning educational platform which enables teachers to run classes partly online or fully via the Internet. We provide graphic and multimedia support for courses placed on our platform as well as stationary ones conducted in a traditional classroom. We also take part in a number of university projects (e.g. Teaching Innovation Fund) and external projects - if there is need for online education support and multimedia preparation.

We are planning new undertakings of the following kind: practical workshops, discussions, thematic meetings. We hope that they will serve as a springboard for new ideas and initiatives. At the same time, we constantly offer individual trainings on the use the UW educational platform, including elements of e-courses methodology. All our meetings and trainings for the UW staff are free of charge.
