The School of Education of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and the University of Warsaw has started its first academic semester. COME UW has prepared and supported its virtual base.
The school is dedicated to graduates of master studies in mathematics and Polish philology, who plan to become teachers. This is the first program of that kind in Poland that closely combines theory with practice (academic classes and teaching at schools). This innovative curriculum has been developed in cooperation with the experts from the renown Columbia University Teachers College in New York. COME UW has created special functionalities at the Moodle e-learning platform and trained the staff of the School of Education in the use of them, in order to facilitate communication and organization. A virtual space for multimedia teaching materials has been also created.
In addition, during the entire academic 2016/17 year, COME UW will support the School of Education in the area of multimedia and in the use of modern technologies in education. We keep fingers crossed for the success of the first edition of the school!
