The "Film and the Media Education in Poland and the world – systemic solutions and case studies" conference, 6-7.05.2015

Within the Audiovisual and Media Education Project (PEAM), initiated and run by the University of Warsaw since 2012, we've been looking for the best formula for film and media education in Poland. It is particularly important in the period of fast transformations of public life, in which one cannot participate without the skills of critical analysis of the media.
So far in Poland there have been no solutions introduced that would treat the idea in a systematic way. This is why we want to have a closer look at other coutries' heritage and experience in this field and we are organizing an international conference under the title of "Film and the Media Education in Poland and the world – systemic solutions and case studies", 6-7 May 2015.
The conference will host film and media education experts form at least 10 countries. It is the organizers' ambition to invite the creators (or representatives) of spectacular, highly-rated, stable and well-known projects they have run in their own, development-oriented countries.
