Trainings

COME team provides didactic and technical support to academic teachers, including training in the methodology of e-learning and the use of the Moodle platform. The courses are open to lecturers and PhD students of the University of Warsaw – to those who plan to teach their subject via the internet and to those who already run classes on the platform as well (teachers in practice).

NOTE! A prerequisite for running classes is a compulsory training on the Moodle platform (according to a decree of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of September 25, 2007 on the conditions that must be met in order to carry out classes using methods and techniques of distance education at the university).

  • the name of the applicant
  • the name of the applicant unit at the University of Warsaw,
  • a valid e-mail address (for the UW employees in the domain uw.edu.pl)

BASIC TRAINING

Trainings in the basics of the Moodle platform are held as one-to-one stationary trainings. They cover the following topics:

  • the options provided by Moodle in the organization of a course,
  • embedding didactic materials and multimedia resources on the platform,
  • the development of activity modules module activities (tests, tasks, forums, voting etc.).

The training takes approximately three hours.


ADVANCED TRAINING

Trainings in the advanced use of the Moodle platform are held as one-to-one stationary trainings. They are adjusted to the trainee's needs.


TRAINING IN THE DIDACTICS OF E-LEARNING

Trainings in the didactics of e-learning are held as one-to-one stationary trainings. They cover the following topics:

  • the nature of teaching via the Internet,
  • differences between communication over the internet and in the classroom,
  • the role of a tutor in an online course,
  • transformation of the traditional (in-class) lessons to the internet ones and the consequences resulting from such a change for a tutor and participants,
  • designing and conducting online courses including the specific e-learning methods of participant activation

The training takes about two hours.
